Imagine you've got yourself a lovely boyfriend or girlfriend. Imagine that sometimes you like to have sex with your lovely boyfriend or girlfriend. Now imagine that when you do have sex, there's hundreds of people watching and commenting on your every move.

Daunting, right?

And yet a growning number of couples are choosing to share their sex lives online. Some for money, some just for kicks. These couples are the subject of a new Channel 4 documentary that's part of their Sex Lives series. These couples from across the globes opened their homes, and their bedroom habits up for scrutiny.

One couple, Emma and Eddie are 23. They live in Croatia, but are high school sweethearts from America. We spoke to Emma about why they do what they do.

Guys. Why. Like why?

We do webcamming because it provides us a comfortable lifestyle with the perfect mix of fun and business!

Why do you think people prefer watching ‘real’ couples rather than porn couples

Some people prefer a certain level of authenticity in their adult entertainment.

Do you ever get people making you feel uncomfortable?

No, when I’m live on cam I feel at peace and very comfortable otherwise the show cannot continue. If there's something that could jeopardize my mood I get rid of it or I get off cam.

**Do you erm, make a lot of money?

**Top models make between $8-16K or more per month consistently and I’ve heard of one girl who made over $800K in a year from a single client (doing financial domination). A mediocre model might make 2-3K a month. Everyone else less than 1k a month.

What’s some of the weirder requests you’ve had?

I’ve had people ask to see my armpit stubble, people who asked to see me inhale deeply so they can see my ribs pop out and my favorite is when my gay fans suggest I should do naughty things to Eddie's butt. Hahaha!

Do you get the same people tuning in week after week?

Yeah its really important to have a solid fanbase. We have people who have been coming back to watch our show for years and witnessed our lives unfold.

What do your friends and family say about it?

Everyone knows what we do. We don’t shy away from promoting our business. Its not something we try to hide and most people admire us, like our friends. Other people like my parents are less understanding so I don’t have a relationship with them. Eddies family is cool and accepting of what we do. We've never had anyone openly disapprove or say something negative about what we do accept for my parents.

Does it bother you that people masturbate over you?

Not at all, its quite flattering actually! Eddie and I joke that theres probably someone out there right now with my panties wrapped around their face! I sell them on my website.

Also what we do is a live performance that fans can pay admission to see. Theres not a lot of back and forth with the fans during the sex part of the show. I’m more focused on what Eddie is doing to me than I am on what our viewers may be doing. They could very well be fully clothed watching my show on the subway on the way to work (and some actually do that!).

How many people do you get watching?

It varies wildly depending on the site's traffic, the time of day, the time of year and whether its just us doing our couples show or if we’re doing a threesome 'with another girl. In the latter case we easily have three or four times as many viewers. On the particular site we work on a little over 300 is the most traffic we've ever had and the lowest has been around 20 in which case we would not be able to work.
