MAFS Australia never fails to deliver drama week after week. We're over half-way through the hit-reality series which sees strangers (although not always!) get hitched and embark on an 'experiment' to see if the show's expert matchmakers can find them love. Lauren Hall and Clint Rice, one of the more controversial couples from this series, have now officially left the show. Here's what happened...

The pair triggered a huge argument across the group last week after Jamie, Beth and Awhina tried to ask Lauren how her relationship with Clint was going. The line of questioning quickly became charged with Lauren hurling insults, specially towards Jamie and Awhina, who she dubbed 'boganic'. A quick recap: according to The Cambridge Dictionary, 'Bogan' is 'an insulting word for a person whose way of dressing, speaking and heaving is thought to show their lack of education and social class.'

The argument went down during a group holiday, where the couples were spending a handful of days together in close quarters. Friends Jamie, Carina and Rhi fell out over the situation, as Jamie felt the other two, her friends, failed to support her during the fight.

So why did Lauren and Clint leave? Relationship experts, John Aiken, Mel Schilling, and Alessandra Rampolla, gave Lauren a grilling during the most recent commitment ceremony and called on her to take accountability for her poor behaviour and rude language. They also questioned just how invested she was in a relationship with Clint. As soon as their conversation was over, Lauren and Clint got up and walked out of the door. (Usually couples, regardless of if they've chosen to leave, stay and hear out the others' updates on their weeks.)

Lauren's story on the show is an interesting one. After initially being paired with another groom, Eliot, she went home during their honeymoon after he packed up and left. Eliot walked out on Lauren shortly after the wedding, and told the experts they hadn't given him what he asked for (in his words, someone younger, 'preferably under 30', or a 'cute librarian-like girl'). In a surprising turn, she was paired up with Clint and given a second-chance, as was Eliot who was re-matched with Veronica.

For any fans hopeful for a Lauren and Clint reunion off the show, it's extremely unlikely, as Clint has proposed to another bride from the series. It has since been revealed that  Clint is dating Jacuqui Burfoot in the experiment. All of which is likely to play out during the upcoming MAFS reunion. There truly isn't another show like MAFS Australia.
