She’s been left in tears after being snubbed by Ciaran Davies but Love Island's Harriett Blackmore may have another chance at love, as she is picked to enter the Hideaway Retreat with Ronnie Vint. Despite being in a couple with Jess White, the semi-professional footballer, 27, grow closer after he chooses the 24-year-old dancer and personal shopper to join him for a chat in the love shack in tonight’s episode – which could leave Jess out in the cold.
Teaser scenes show how Ronnie makes his move after this evening’s game of dares, where the pair share a cheeky kiss, which is immediately noticed by Jess. She tells fellow villa-mate Patsy Field, ‘He’s taken her to the Hideaway’ and admits that she fears the worst. ‘I tell you what though, if he does kiss her.’
Sitting on the swing seat alongside her, Ronnie tells Harriett, ‘The challenge was a bit mad, wasn’t it, I thought I’d just take you out and see what’s what.’ She replies, ‘I feel like it’s progressed in the right direction but obviously you’re still in a couple with Jess.’
Rules for the Hideaway have been changed this year, allowing non-couples to go in there. ‘Obviously I’m coupled up with Jess but she knows that I want to get to know you and you want to get to know me and you fancy me a little bit,’ Ronnie says to Harriett. She responds, ‘You know I fancy you. I’ve fancied you since the beginning’. Will they kiss again in the Hideaway?
Ronnie and Harriett’s hook-up comes after he had a bust-up with partner Jess. She called him a ‘cheeky t**t’ last night for his actions, after he appeared inconsiderate of her feelings. ‘The guy has got an audacity – he’s not come and asked how I am. If he’s getting on better with Harriett and having good chats with Harriett, then I wish them the best of luck,’ she said in the Beach Hut.
She previously told him, ‘Poor choice of words, Ron. I don’t think you said one nice thing about me. You don’t need to go about it that way,’ she told him. Ronnie replied, ‘I’m not great with words. I want to apologise.’
Despite his apology to Jess, Ronnie remains attracted to Harriett and he seems keen on getting to know her better. ‘Everything I said was honest – it just came out wrong. I do think there is something there from when we’ve spoke,’ he assured her. ‘I do want to see what’s happening with that. Hopefully we get a little date or something, away from everyone.’
Harriett – who was previously in a love triangle with Nicole Samuel and Ciaran – is currently paired with sweet shop owner Sean Stone, who kissed Jess in last night’s episode.
