Love Island: Fans Have Had Enough Of All The Bombshells

Samie Elishi Love Island

We might be only two weeks into 2023’s Winter Love Island, but we’re already on our seventh bombshell. Intended to shake things up, the show sprinkles in some bombshells to, quite predictably, stir up some trouble inside the villa walls.

But with a new islander being introduced almost every other day, viewers of the show say that the bombshells are doing anything but, well, bombshelling. In fact, the constant stream of new islanders is making the show more than a bit boring.

After newcomer Samie Elishi made her entrance over in South Africa, fans of the show took to Twitter to share what they really thought about the show’s newest (and certainly not last) bombshell.

One fan wrote, ‘I’m tired of these bombshells! We literally forget about most of them after their first day.’

Another viewer agreed, echoing ‘Too many bombshells, can barely remember the names of the last four that have come in.’

Indeed, it seems that before fans – or even the islanders – can get to know the newest contestant, there’s another pair of high heels stomping through those villa doors.

One fan wrote branded the show’s bombshell obsession ‘excessive,’ writing ‘ I miss when Love Island didn’t send in so many “bombshells” so quickly. It was perfect when it was after these couples thought they were so strong.’

And with many arguing that the bombshells just aren’t ‘bombshelling’ like they used to, one viewer went so far as to suggest that the constant stream of fresh meat is actually what’s stopping our islanders from finding the love they so desperately want.

They wrote, ‘Too many bombshells too quickly, as usual,’ adding, ‘The reason the early seasons worked so well is cause people were invested in their couples when heads turned. Now there’s a new person so often they barely get a chance to couple up.’

For some, newcomer Samie was the final straw – with many now calling for a ‘mass elimination’ of islanders.

One fan wrote, ‘There’s far too many bombshells and not enough people leaving,’ with another saying ‘Producers, it’s time for a mass elimination.’

At this rate, there’ll be no need for Casa Amor – with more than enough options already squished into those double beds.

But with this season’s show promising some big twists and turns, we could be expecting a big shakeup soon… And one that could see plenty of our bombshells on the first plane back home.
