Even if you missed Love Island last night you’ve no doubt seen all the memes and videos of the contestants wriggling, writhing and whipping their bodies around in a dance challenge designed by producers to see who fancies who the most.
With so many breakups, evictions and general heartbreak on the show lately, the episode was a welcome change of pace, and of course the Twitter reactions to the contestant’s dance moves were quite something.
The challenge was simple enough, all the boys were fitted with heart rate monitors and asked to sit around the firepit as the girls came out one by one dressed in an array of costumes (from police officer to burlesque dancer). Then they swapped over and at the end the producers revealed who had raised whose heart rate the most.
The most memeable moments had to be professional dancer Curtis’ hip rolls and Michael trying desperately not to have his heart rate raised by ex Amber (SPOILER: he failed.)
