You know the drill, as soon as the sun starts to shine, all we think about is summer and a new series of Love Island. And this year things seem to be starting a bit earlier, as last year things were a little shorter due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In the months leading up to a new series we're often teased potential contestants that could be part of the original line-up. Sure, sometimes we never see them again, but sometimes certain contestants get leaked waaaaay before the series starts (this year, it's June 6, by the way).

The latest rumoured contestant is none other than TOWIE royalty Pete Wicks' friend, influencer Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Ekin is Turkish and is no stranger to reality TV having appeared on the Turkish reality TV show Kuzey Yildiz.

She also has connections to several celebs, counting TOWIE's Pete Wicks and James Lock, Wayne Lineker, and Piers Morgan 's son, Spencer among her 346k Instagram followers.

A source toldthe Sun, 'Ekin-Su is the perfect contestant to get viewers tuning in this summer. Not only is she beautiful, she's also used to being on TV and moves in showbiz circles so she's sure to bring fireworks. She'll have no shortage of guys after her in the villa, that’s for sure.'

In addition to Pete's pal, Zara McDermott's brother Brad was apparently in talks to star in the series. The news comes almost four years after his sister appeared on the 2018 series, where she coupled up with Adam Collard. She's now happily in love with Made In Chelsea's Sam Thompson.

According to reports, Brad, who regularly features on Zara's Instagram, is keen to make a name for himself.

A source toldThe Sun{ =nofollow}, 'Brad is a young, good looking guy, and he has seen how appearing on Love Island has completely transformed Zara’s life. Though she didn’t find long-term love, it has served as a great platform for her. She also had a great time there, and he thinks it would be a great laugh.'

Brad is the second face said to be heading into the villa, as Sophie Draper, 22, who is a beautician from Nottingham was the first rumoured contestant. She has a famous ex-boyfriend in the shape of Premiership footballer Matty Cash, who plays for Aston Villa. They dated for FOUR YEARS before splitting suddenly in 2021.

According to the same publication, Sophie has been 'lined-up' for the next series of the show and Love Island chiefs think she is the 'perfect fit'.

A source said, 'Sophie is a gorgeous girl who is really driven and determined to succeed. She has her own beauty salon and already leads a jet set lifestyle, which she likes showing off on Instagram, so she wouldn’t be fazed by being on TV.' They added, 'Matty will be pretty shocked to see her looking for love on TV, but he publicly moved on pretty quickly.'
