Have you ever wondered what you actually have to do to get on Love Island? Like, what you actually have to do if you want to pass through the arduous audition process? (Especially considering only six contestants, out of this year's 36, applied for the show themselves{ =nofollow}.)

Well, wonder no more – as this year's Amy Hart has showed us what she did to get a coveted slot inside the villa.

In her one-minute audition clip, Amy introduces herself to the producers as the 'world's best third wheel' and tries on a variety of props.

'It's a skill I've perfected,' she tells the camera, 'because all my friends have met their Mr Right and got their fairytale ending – and I think it's my turn.'

The former air hostess also explains that one of the reasons she thinks she doesn't have a boyfriend is because she is the 'world's worst drunk texter'.

'Some say I'm the lovechild of Elton John and Gemma Collins,' she adds, while reclining on a unicorn pool float. 'I'm not really sure what they mean to be honest.'

'I'm just too extra for my own good really,' she adds, while wearing a pair of pink sparkly sunglasses.

The reality star ends the video wearing a massive crown and sash, and makes her final plea, saying, 'I've been competing in pageants for five years, and I've finally reached my goal of international title – the missing piece is finding a man, so help me do it.'
