Main man Louis Theroux (and best friend of The Debrief as of yesterday) has released a clip from his upcoming, much-anticipated documentary My Scientology Life.
The film has been an idea in Louis' mind for over ten years when he first approached the church to make a documentary. They refused, by Louis didn't let the idea drop. According to BBC Films, 'Inspired by the Church’s use of filming techniques, and aided by ex-members of the organisation, Theroux uses actors to replay some incidents people claim they experienced as members in an attempt to better understand the way it operates. In a bizarre twist, it becomes clear that the Church is also making a film about Louis Theroux.'
In the clip, as you can see above, Louis gets into hot water when he ventures down a road that a scientologist says is off limits. The two argue and the situation gets heated. It all looks terribly exciting and just a little scary.
There's no official release date yet for the film although if you can get yourself to the TriBeCa film festival in New York by the 17th April, there is a screening there.
