I don’t know if you noticed, but Lindsay Lohan has been a super busy lately. A quick stalk of her Instagram will remind you that she was in Monaco for the Grand Prix,,0%201px%2010px%200%20rgba;%20margin:%201px;%20max-width:658px;%20padding:0;%20width:99.375%25;%20width:-webkit-calc;%20width ;%22%3E%3Cdiv%20style=%22padding:8px;%22%3E%20%3Cdiv%20style=%22%20background:#F8F8F8;%20line-height:0;%20margin-top:40px;%20padding:50.0%25%200;%20text-align

And I think, beg as we might for some sort of original Mean Girls resurgent, the last place we expected to see Lindsay next was on our telly screens. But, hold on to your hats, that’s precisely where she is going to be next. Exciting, eh?

Yesterday Lindsay posted a picture of herself stood between Rupert Grint (aka Ron Weasley) and Nick Frost (aka Danny from Hot Fuzz). Things to note include: Rupert seems to have a bandage on his arm, Linds is rocking a bob, Nick has grown one hell of a beard and oh, that minor detail of the caption that reads ‘Back on the set of my new TV show #sicknote’. Anyone else double take there? Very casually slipped your return to camera in there didn’t you Lindsay? You sneaky thing, you.

What we know so far is that Sick Note is a new TV show over on Sky which is due to come out later this year. It’s all about an insurance rep played by Rupert who is mistakenly told he’s got a terminal illness but doesn’t actually tell anyone that he’s in fact okay. It’s meant to be a comedy and our only thoughts right now are whether or not Lindsay will be reviving the stellar British accent she used when she played her long-lost twin Annie in the Parent Trap.

Before you get too excited though, we’ll all be waiting a little while to see how this all pans out because Lindsay isn’t actually going to be appearing on the show until the second series which doesn’t have a release date yet. I know, we’re not very good at being teased with these things either. All we’ve got to keep you going for now is knowing that she plays Rupert’s boss’s daughter and yes, will probably be wearing her hair in a bob. Safe to say we'll all be setting notifications for Lindsay's Instagram uploads for sneak peaks and evidence of her and Rupert Grint bonding over being child stars and reminiscing about their good old days in whichever obscure part of the UK they've decided to film in.
