The trailer for the highly anticipated second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has finally arrived with fans eager to find out what the cast of the mould-breaking reality show has been up to. It's no secret that after the first season aired Zac and Jen Affleck's marriage come under scrutiny on social media.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is hooked on the aftermath of the swinging drama involving TikToker Taylor Frankie Paul and the first season, which aired last September, made stars of the entire group. It has also meant fans have their own opinions on the relationship dynamics between the cast members.

When the last season ended, Zac and Jen's future remained unclear, especially in light of the blazing argument that ensued after her friends took her to Chippendales. Jen acknowledged on the show that watching the Chippendales - male stripteasing - was 'crossing the line' and went 'against everything we believe in as Mormons'. She left before the performance started but ended up furiously clashing with Zac on the phone, with Jen later telling a friend that her husband said he 'didn't want to be married to her' if she 'does stuff like this'.

But speaking to US Weekly, Jen, 25, explained how the Hulu series helped her and Zac work through their issues.

She said, 'I definitely think it was the best thing to happen to our relationship. While watching the show, a lot of people are going to think that maybe this would break our relationship apart. But if anything, it did the opposite. Being on camera and having those moments happen made us take a step back and actually look at a relationship and make us just see what we have to change.'

Jen added, 'Ever since we finished filming, we’ve been doing non-stop therapy and it’s been great. So if anything, [watching the show] is just going to be exposure therapy at this point.'

In October, rumours started swirling that there was still trouble in paradise when Jen - who shares two children, Nora and Luca, with Zac - shared a TikTok in which she wasn't wearing her wedding ring.

Then her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star Mikayla Matthews seemed to add fuel to that narrative when she uploaded a video of her, Mayci Neeley and Jen lip-syncing to a scene from The Kardashians.

Jen, dubbing to Kim Kardashian's audio from the family's hit reality show, said, 'I don't even know where we left off.' Her co-stars responded, 'You were still in a relationship.' Jen then chimed, 'I was? Damn. Things change really quickly. [...] No I'm not okay.'

Mikayla captioned the reel, 'I'm confused [sic]'.

Shortly after, Mayci had fans scratching their heads even more with a TikTok where Jen was donning her wedding ring. Mayci and Mikayla lip-synched to Amy Winehouse's Me & Mr Jones - 'What kind of f**kery is this? You make me miss the Slick Rick gig' - while Jen seemingly flashed her band.

'You're confused? I'm confused [sic],' Mayci penned.

One follower wrote, 'Okay, but it's on the wrong hand people!', to which an eagle-eyed fan claimed, 'They're using the front camera. So things look backwards. That's the correct hand.'

And a source has alleged to People that rumours of a split are 'unfounded' and Jen 'often goes without her wedding ring'. The publication's source said 'she has never really worn it consistently and it's not something that bothers her husband', adding that the pair are filming for the second series at their family home.

Are Jen Affleck and Zac still together?

As you may have gathered, it can be difficult to keep track of all these relationships. Saying that, Jen and Zac are still going strong. In fact, they are expecting their third baby together, something Jen announced in February. 'Pregnancy is already incredibly challenging both mentally and physically,' she told People at the time. 'And with everything else I was juggling, there’s no doubt this has been my hardest pregnancy yet.'

'However, those moments, along with carrying this baby have helped me realise what truly matters most. I've learned that help and resources are available if you seek them. This journey has profoundly changed me and shaped the person, mother, and friend I aspire to be.'
