The first cohort of Celebrity Big Brother contestants have entered the house, and already we can't get enough of the star-studded line up - and the surprise twists that have been teased to us for this series. Guaranteed, there will probably be some more iconic moments in store.
For 2025, we've seen Patsy Palmer, Angellica Bell, Trisha Goddard and Donna Preston enter the CBB house, welcomed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. Another familiar face entering the house is Corrie's Jack P Shepherd, who has swapped the cobbled streets of Manchester for the diary room.
Who is Jack P Shepherd?
Jack P Shepherd is an English actor who is best known for portraying the role of David Platt on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. He's been awarded many accolades for this portrayal of David, including the British Soap Award for Villain of the Year in 2008 and Best Actor in 2018.
Alongside his role in Coronation Street, David has also focused on theatre work. He has played the role of Riff in a production of West Side Story and in Oliver! However, his role in Coronation Street appears to be his one true love. In an interview with Digital Spy, Jack hinted that his character could be 'unpredictable' in the upcoming months of Corrie. 'I mean, I don't like particularly doing the stories where the audience can second guess what exactly is going to happen. I don't like that. I don't like telling them anything,' he said. 'There's loads of times in the script where we feel as though we have to spoon-feed the audience. And I'm like, 'No, don't.'
This year marks 25 years since Jack joined Corrie. In the interview, he also reflected on when he started out on the soap. 'I was only in the show three months originally, and then they just kept on sort of ringing my mum up, and my agent saying, 'Yeah, we'll extend it.' So, yeah, 25 years is a long time, I think, for anyone. But I get year contracts now, I don't get three-months ones,' he said.

However, it wasn't all plain sailing. The couple hit a rocky patch after Jack fathered another child through a one night stand in 2010. The couple got back together, and Jack issued a public apology.

I now need to concentrate on what is really important, my family and my career, as I have abused my position as an employee, partner and father, and for that I am deeply sorry.'
