While most of the contestants on Love Island insist they're in the villa for love, we all know the true reason - for the majority - is so they can accumulate a following on Instagram large enough to make money from sponsored content. And really, who can blame them? Even if they do have to flog teeth-whitening kits!

So, the real question is, just how much are this year's host of contestants likely to earn? Already, research from5Starshows they could be eligible to rake in hundreds of pounds per post. And some of the stars could even be making over £1,500, yes, £1,500 per Instagram.

Brad McClelland and Liberty Poole are two of this year's biggest earners. Dumped islander Brad, who is in on 528,000 followers, could be getting £1,722, meanwhile Liberty, on 491,563 followers, could charge £1,662.

Lucinda Strafford - who was coupled up with Brad in the villa - isn't too far behind, and she could be earning £1,532. On 409,598 followers, Kaz Kamwi can also charge around £1,351 and even Hugo Hammond, who left the villa last night on over 300,000 followers, can earn just over £1,100. Faye Winter is also a fan favourite - as we've written about here - who can demand £1,467 per post.

But who is going to be making the most money, we hear you ask? Well, you'll probably be happy to know that Millie Court has taken the title. Millie, who used to work as a fashion buyer at ASOS, has a whopping 650,000 followers - the most of everyone on the series so far - and can already make £1,924. (Liam Reardon, who cheated on her in Casa Amor, probably won't be able to make as much, as currently has under 300,000 followers.)

Love Island is on ITV2 every night at 9pm (apart from Saturdays).
