Here it is people, the official proof that we needed to confirm that Olivia Hawkins and Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown were mates before they both headed into the Love Island villa.
The rumours have been bandied about for a while, with everyone completely confused as to why the news hadn’t been revealed on the show. And now, we have official confirmation.
And it comes from a rather surprising source: David Salako.
Just in case you missed his very brief stint on Winter Love Island 2023, David entered the villa as a bombshell alongside Zara and after striking up a flirtation with Tanya Manhenga was dumped from the villa when she decided to stick with Shaq Muhammad.
His time in the villa may have been short but that hasn’t stopped him from spilling all the tea about the show on TikTok, answering all the weird and wonderful questions from fans including ‘Did Olivia and Zara talk about the fact that they knew each other outside the villa?’
Turns out they did.
David revealed, ‘Yeah this was something that was discussed in the villa, they told everyone. I think Zara told everyone that she knew Liv and Liv confirmed.’
He also revealed that if the love triangle between Liv, Zara and Tom Clare didn’t resolve itself soon, it was likely that more fights would break out.
He said, ‘Look they’ve squashed the beef now, but personally I feel like there’s going to be some more to come.’
And just in case you didn’t trust David, footage has emerged of the two girls starring together in a music video.
Dapz’s music video for his track Take You Away - which came out three years ago - sees the two hanging out in bikinis by the pool and drinking cocktails. It’s alright for some!
Clearly that was where Zara and Liv met and marks the start of their friendship.
