We can’t imagine the pressures of being part of Game of Thrones, a wildly popular TV series that enchants and shocks millions of fans across the world. As well as people recognising its stars all the time and asking for selfies, the actors have got to grin and bear it when their characters do or go through some grotesque things and keep major plot points for the next series schtum while filming them.
These major plot points get pretty hard to keep quiet on, though, when a character’s been killed off at the end of the last series and, well, the actor’s very presence on the show’s film set leads even the most fairweather viewer to wonder, ‘Hey, wait a second, is Jon Snow not actually dead?’
See, Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow (who was stabbed over and over and left for dead at the end of series four), keeps on being spotted, man-bun and all, at Belfast airport. This is right near where he’d go to film scenes as Jon Snow. Maybe he’s filming another TV show or film nearby – but he’s not signed up to anything else that’d need him in Belfast.
Maybe Kit needs to be filmed as Jon dying over and over again, or for a flashback? But he’s been photographed walking through the airport so many times that we have nothing more to conclude that we’re about 80% sure Jon Snow will be back for series five of Game of Thrones.
Now we just have to get to plotting how on earth he’ll return from the dead – as a Whitewalker? Rejuvenated by the Melisandre (who is played by Carice Von Houten, who said at London’s Film and Comic Con, ‘No, he can’t be dead. No!’)? And the best part of all is that our fanfiction – where Jon Snow comes back to life to save the world – might actually come true.
