Ok, so as massive fans of The White Lotus, we know things get pretty tense between the characters on screen. But it turns out, friendships between co-stars were affected during the actual filming process, too.

That's according to Jason Issacs, who plays wealthy father Timothy Ratliff, who recently revealed that friendships were both 'made' and 'lost' on the set of The White Lotus Season Three, which is set in a wellness resort in Thailand.

Drama unfolds for Isaac's character Timothy Ratliff is after he is embroiled in a money laundering scheme. He is joined on holiday by his Victoria (Parker Posey), who is addicted to lorazepam, and their three children, Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola). As per White Lotus, things aren't ever as they seem, as Saxon and Lochlan become caught up in an incest storyline.

In an interview with Vulture, Jason opened up about the realities of filming the show, describing it as a 'a cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies but in a gilded cage' which was anything but a holiday - despite the picturesque location of The Four Seasons Thailand.

'Some people got very close, there were friendships that were made and friendships that were lost,' he said. 'All the things you would imagine with a group of people unanchored from their home lives on the other side of the world, in the intense pressure cooker of the working environment with eye-melting heat and insects and late nights. They say in the show, "What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand," but there’s an off-screen White Lotus as well, with fewer deaths but just as much drama.'

However, Isaacs chose not to reveal any more details about the drama between the cast on set. 'I became very close to some people and less close to others, but we still all had that experience together and there’s a certain level of discretion required,' he said.

This isn't the first time that a member of The White Lotus cast has got real about what it was like on set. In an interview with The Guardian, Aimee Lou Wood, who plays Chelsea, described the circumstances as 'quite extreme.'

She said 'I don’t know whether I’d describe it as fun. There were fun moments. It was more like … amazing. In the true sense, I was amazed by what was happening. How am I in Thailand? Living in a hotel, that we also film in? It was like a social experiment ... in a way I will never, ever forget. I will never have an experience like that again,' continuing 'It was so extreme. So the fun bits were unbelievable, so special. The ocean, the landscape, it was majestic. Mike is a genius. Everyone involved is amazing, it’s just the circumstances are quite extreme.'

As for how all the drama will unfold? We're going to have to wait for Monday's finale, where all will be revealed...
