Self Isolating? See Inside TV’s Most Famous Homes

From Friends to Sex And The City. How would Carrie Bradshaw deal with quarantine?

Sex And The City

As we sit at our desks - okay, our kitchen table - wondering how long the coronavirus pandemic will last, it is inevitable that we will begin to feel a little, well, enclosed. However big your house, your flat, or wherever you're spending a period of social isolation, being inside for an extended amount of time is not easy. But how would it be for the stars of our favourite TV shows, like Friends or Sex And The City? Well, thanks to the sketches of Iñaki Aliste Lizarralde, it's easier to imagine.

Iñaki, a Spanish based interior designer, came up with architectural flat plans of the most famous homes in pop culture several years ago. But we've found them anew, after wondering how much floor space Carrie Bradshaw would be limited to if she had been forced into lockdown, typing away at her window, unable to help wondering about... something.

So in the spirit of self isolation, here are our favourites.

Friends

You just know that Chandler and Joey wouldn't be able to stay away from Monica and Rachel's apartment - they basically at there every day. With a foosball table, a terrace, recliners and Monica's approach to hygiene, it's not a bad set-up. Although you know Ross would get jealous watching the fun from across the street.

Sex And The City

Carrie may have got married and moved in with Big, but her iconic apartment remained in her possession. No, it's not huge, but neither is Carrie, and you'll remember from the Aidan Shaw demolition situation that she does not deal well with expansion.

Once she got over the ban on in-person shopping, Carrie would inevitably enjoy some time to focus on her favourite subject: herself.

Will & Grace

Will Truman and Grace Adler are the perfect loving couple. If only they didn't both love men. Best friends through thick and thin, the lawyer and interior designer have a large apartment, with a bathroom each, an outdoor terrace and a weird, den-like TV area that we never really saw the point of.

We think they'd get on well enough. As long as Grace doesn't suggest one of her old-fashioned piano parties.

The Simpsons

The Simpsons has been on our televisions for more than 30 years, but they just don't age, so they've probably been stuck in some form of self-quarantined time warp all along. Self isolation may prove tricky though, for TV's quintessential mismatched family.

Their modest home at 742 Evergreen Terrace comes complete with large garden and a treehouse. But Lisa might want to pause on the saxophone practice, and you just know they'll regret getting rid of the pool.

You can see all of Iñaki's plans - including sketches of homes from Frasier, The Big Bang Theory and The Flintstones - here.
