Oh my God - say that in Janice's voice, please - there's more in common between Friends(Harry and Charlotte Goldenblatt) and even the late Willie Garson (Stanford Blatch) had short roles in Friends.

But now there's another actor, from the second episode of AJLT{ =nofollow}, who you might recognise from Friends. Remember Gloria? Big's secretary who comforts Carrie at the funeral. In a sweet moment, she tells Carrie that Big kept her on - even though in a world filled with technology, he might not have needed to. 'He kept me on for years when all the others got rid of their old gals,' she said. Carrie then remarked to her that Big often said, 'Gloria knows more about me than I know about myself.'

Gloria was played by Brenda Vaccaro in the episode - but, bizarrely, she's also played another very famous Gloria... Joey's mum in Friends. Yes, OK, she might have appeared in one episode. But the fictional mum-of-seven deserves credit, as according to Joey, Gloria was once in a medical journal due to the fact that her pregnancies were all immediately after the preceding birth, resulting in every one of her children being born nine months after the last one.

Aside from Gloria, there might have been another character you recognised in the funeral episode is Susan Sharon, Molly Price, who notably says during the funeral, 'Am I the only one who remembers what a prick he [Mr. Big] was to her [Carrie]?' Seems Sharon might have remembered that Carrie unknowingly ended her marriagein season two.
