Guess what! We're having our very own screening of excellent new film Obvious Child on August the 19th and we really want you to come along and watch it with us.
The film, which isn't out until the 29th of August is the 'abortion comedy' that's had America up in arms over the past few months. It's headed up by Jenny Slate, the comedian known for Parks and Recreation and *Saturday Night Live *and she plays Donna Stern, a struggling 20-something comedienne living in a tiny flat in Brooklyn with her best friend Nellie (Girls' Gaby Hoffman). Donna's life starts to fall apart magnificiently when she suddenly finds herself pregnant after a drunken one night stand.
Obviously, pro-lifers in America weren't massively happy with the film when it came out a few months ago but we saw it a few weeks back and we're going to go out on a limb and say that no matter what anyone else thinks of it, this is a beautiful, hilarious portrayal of what it means to be a 20-something girl with all of the hope but none of the answers in today's world.
Anyways, we're hosting a screening (with drinks!) at Soho Screening Rooms in London on Tuesday 19th August at 7PM and we want 20 of you (plus a friend) to come down and hang out and watch the film with us. We'll allocate tickets on a first come, first serve basis and let the successful applicants know this coming Thursday.
If you're up for it, just fill in the form below. Hopefully see you next week!
