Fleabag Is Coming (Back) To The Stage!

Have you watched Fleabag, the depressing-hilarious TV series about young womanhood, loneliness, fucked up families, awful men and living life with no cares but all the consequences? You really should.

And you could even see it in its original incarnation as Phoebe Waller-Bridge, writer and lead actress in the show, is bringing the stage show back!

Plus, get this - in a departure from the TV show, which is fleshed out with a half-dozen cast members and interactions and duologues, the stage show is a one-woman show! Yep, all the characters, all the different people and motives and the like, are condensed into Fleabag’s re-tellings of them. So there’s a lot more snappy narration, but who doesn’t love the snappy to-camera narration that Fleabag does? (What IS her name?!).

It might be very difficult to get your hands on a ticket - Waller-Bridge’s show is so successful it’s gone from BBC3 to BBC2 (on actual TV!) to Amazon Video in the States.

That said, if you want to give it a go, they’re available online from London's Soho Theatre, where Fleabag will be on from 5th-16th December. What a very merry Christmas treat! All we hope is that all that acting doesn’t distract Waller-Bridge from writing the much-yearned-for Fleabag series 2. No pressure, eh?
