Um. Right. I think we're all in agreement that the mid-noughties were not a good time for fashion. Much as our parents look back at pictures of them and their perms in the 80s with dismay, we have haunting memories of knock-off Juicy Couture tracksuits and Von Dutch trucker caps from 2005.
Luckily for us, this was just before Facebook. Which means there's little digital evidence of us looking like pillocks.
Celebs though, weren't so lucky.
Cue the cast of the The OC; Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson and Samaire Armstrong. All great ladies, all victims of mid-noughties fashwan disasters.
Let's dive on in.
Mischa Barton
Here we've got a classic example of erm, I don't know what. This is part 60's, part space lady and part 'I've just been to the hairdressers and got myself some bang-on-trend chunky honey blonde highlights and I'm not afraid to show them off.'
Samaire Armstrong
This is good because if you're at a party and the musical adaption of Oliver that's playing next door suddenly finds themself down an orphan, you could totally step in.
Rachel Bilson
Perhaps the most intriguing part of this is the socks. One would have imagined those boots were flashy enough all by themselves. But hey, what do I know?
