At least one tiny little sliver of joy that can come from all this summer being over business is the end of feeling guilty about sitting inside away from all the lovely sun. As if by magic, the film industry have cottoned on to this and are set to release a whole slew or really rather excellent films over the next few months, including, but not limited to, the film adaption of Gone Girl. God, we're so excited about that one we can't even handle it. It's currently set to be in our cinemas October 3rd, so mark that in your diaries ladies.

Think The Fault In Our Stars levels of weepiness. Chloe Grace Moretz plays the talented high school cello player who’s got a cool rebel boyfriend and is set to audition for Julliard. Things are all going well until she’s involved in a car accident that kills her whole family and leaves her in a coma. Caught between life and death, Chloe’s character Mia has to decide whether to come back to deal with a life much harder than she can handle or leave her life behind and move on to whatever’s next.
August 29th
The Riot Club
Anyone not lucky enough to catch Laura Wade’s excellent play Posh at the Royal Court last year can now get excited about the film version that Laura herself has adapted for screen. It stars pretty much every single hot young Brit actor going at the moment including Douglas Booth, Max Irons, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Holliday Grainger (phew) and is about an exclusive dining club at Oxford University that gets grievously out of hand. What did we say about posh boys and booze? Never a good mix is it?
September 19th
The Maze Runner
Can’t wait for the next Hunger Games? Try your luck with the latest young adult fiction series to be adapted into a film. The Maze Runner stars Will Poulter and Kaya Scodelario and is set in a (yep you guessed it) post-apocalypictic world which sees teenager Thomas dropped into a giant maze with a bunch of other boys that he must fight and band together with to try and escape from.
10th October
Life After Beth
When Zach’s girlfriend Beth dies, he’s understandably pretty gutted. So when she comes back to life, he decides that now’s the time to do everything they never had the chance to do when she was alive. The only problem is that she’s kind of a zombie which means she’s slightly reckless when it comes to stuff like not eating people and the like. Stars Dane DeHaan (the new Leo – mark our words) and Parks and Recreation’s awesome Aubrey Plaza.
3rd October
Palo Alto
Oh, James. James, James, James. As much doucebaggery as Mr Franco cares to commit, we still can’t help but be intrigued by this film based on his book of the same name. Palo Alto is also the film that’s been linked to that time the actor was ‘caught’ texting an underage Scottish girl due to a smiliar story line in the film. James naturally plays the teacher horning after one of his pupils. Anyways, it’s got Emma Roberts in and we like her a lot so we’ll deffos be going to see it, Franco or no Franco.
