Eddie Redmayne Tells Us Why You Should Be Proud To Be A Hufflepuff

I am a Hufflepuff, I’ve taken the quiz several times and no matter how many times I try to answer like a Gryffindor I am always greeted with yellow and black. My brother mocked me relentlessly - until he found out he was a Hufflepuff too. My friend, who doesn’t even like HP that much, takes the mick out of me all the time because she’s a Gryffindor. We get so much flack as Hufflepuffs, we’ve been labelled ‘left overs’, boring, wimps and a load “o’ duffers” (as Hagrid kindly puts it). But that ends today! Eddie Redmayne has stood up for Hufflepuffs everywhere with this heart-warming PSA on why the black and yellow badger is great.

“For far too long now, Hufflepuffs have been victimised,’ Eddie says with such emotion. 'They call us boring. They call us beige. They say we’re the nice guys. But you know what? You know what I see in Hufflepuffs? I see loyalty. I see fierce friendship. We are hardworking, we are compassionate, and at the end of the day, we’re going to do the right thing, and not because of the glory. Not because of the glory, but for the greater good.'

And he is right! I am the least beige person I know, I am a fierce friend and I work hard, what is wrong with that? What is wrong with being ‘nice’? NOTHING! We haven’t housed any dark wizards like Slytherin, we don’t go glory hunting like Gryffindor, we are in it for the greater good. Not to mention we’re loyal AF. J.K Rowling has even said it’s her favourite house – what more validation do we need?

Still looking for confirmation that Hufflepuff is the best? Just look at the company we are in:

Nymphadora Tonks, J.K Rowling, Newt Scamander, Eddie Redmayne, Dwayne “THE ROCK’ Johnson, Rupert Grint, Matthew Lewis, Cedric Diggory – to name a few.

The dawn of The Age of The Hufflepuffis nigh' people, and we have nothing to be ashamed about!
