Or are you just bored of watching your housemates snuggle up with their boyfriends and girlfriends on Sunday afternoons while you have to drown your sorrows in a grab bag of Quavers? See, to celebrate the release of the very excellent Disney Pixar's Inside Out (if you still haven't seen it, srsly guys, get it together), The Debrief has been inspired to hold our very own dating night where we match our lovely readers up with other lovely people. Because love is lovely.
If you've seen Inside Out, you'll know that, towards the end, Riley, the girl who's head Amy Poehler and friends live in, meets (gasp) a BOY. And, as the film is coming out on DVD super soon, Disney Pixar have created a new short film called Riley's First Date?, all about her (yep you guessed it) first date. Which is where we got the inspiration from to stage a whole bunch of first dates of our own.
The format of the night is this; we're taking over a dead trendy restaurant in London's Notting Hill called Little Yellow Door on the evening of the 24th of November. We're looking for 24 people to brave the world of blind dates and come on down for dinner, drinks and, hopefully an evening of sparkling coversation with someone that we match you with.
We will be filming the event so applicants must be OK with appearing on camera. All food and drink will be paid for, so, even if your date is a dud, at least you've got yourself a free meal which, in this town, isn't something to be sniffed at.
