Dancing On Ice 2020 Lineup
Maura Higgins
Dancing on Ice fans were convinced Maura would be signing up for the show and they were right. The Love Island 2019 star confirmed the news, saying: 'I've skated once in my life for fun, so I've no experience at all.'I'm up for the challenge. I'm more excited than scared. I'm competitive so I think that will drive me."
Michael Barrymore
TV presenter Michael Barrymore is the second contestant confirmed for Dancing on Ice. He found huge success as a TV personality in the 1980s and has said: 'I'm delighted to say that I'll be joining the Dancing on Ice line up for 2020. I'm looking forward to meeting Holly and Phil. I'm very excited...it's performance time!'
Kevin Kilbane
Ex-England Footballer Kevin Kilbane is the third contestant to be officially confirmed for Dancing on Ice 2019, announcing his involvement live on TalkRadio in September."I am going on as a total novice. I'm starting from scratch here. This is going to be a massive challenge for me," he said."I've been taking it easy for the last few years since I finished (football) so let's just see how this one goes."
Lucrezia Millarini
Newsreader Lucrezia Millarini became the fourth confirmed celebrity skater. Speaking about her role, she gushed: "I'm super excited to be joining the line up for DOI! "I can't wait to get out there on the ice and start training. While the news agenda is already pretty busy these days, I know life is about to get a lot busier...with a few bruises along the way!"
Ian 'H' Watkins
Steps superstar Ian 'H' Watkins could be taking to the ice this year after his bandmate Faye Tozer almost won Strictly last year! An insider said, 'He won a legion of fans in his Steps days with his cheesy dance moves and he could do it all over again by recreating them on the ice.'After a new teaser picture on the Instagram account, fans are now convinced H will be on the show!
Lisa George
Coronation Street star Lisa George is thought to be the person in one of the Dancing On Ice teaser photos.
Perri Kiely
...However, others are questioning whether the picture could be of Perri Kiely, who has also been rumoured to be on the show. With his Diversity dance pal Ashley Banjo on the judging panel and Ashley's brother Jordan Banjo as backstage reporter, could he be getting involved too?
Libby Clegg
Paralympic sprinter Libby Clegg is the eight confirmed contestant, announcing the news on Victoria Derbyshire's morning show."After Rio I achieved my ultimate goal and then I thought 'what else can I do?' This opportunity came about and I couldn't pass it up. I love challenging myself and experiencing new things," she said.
Joe Swash
King of the Jungle Joe Swash is thought to be heading to the ice after one of the Dancing On Ice teaser pics. Sharing a photo of someone with a gold star in their pocket, the caption read, "We've got stars in our eyes over this celeb... Or in our jacket pockets? ✨ #DancingOnIce." Plenty of fans commented to guess Joe Swash... Hopefully we'll find out if it's true soon.
Ben Hanlin
Fans of the show are predicting that Ben Hanlin is the magician that Dancing On Ice are teasing in their latest clue picture. Rumours are flying around that he has replaced Kelvin Fletcher, who was reportedly going to be appearing on the show, but has now moved over to Strictly Come Dancing to replace the injured Jamie Laing.
Trisha Goddard
Former chat show host Trisha Goddard appeared on Good Morning Britain to confirm she'd be taking part in the show."I love physical stuff. Every day I bike ride, I weight train, I love any physical thing. I learnt to ski at 37, I learnt to roller blade at 42. I'm 62 in December. I thought 'why not?'" she said.
Caprice
You'll mostly recognise Caprice as a model from back in the day but she's back and taking part in Dancing on Ice 2020. She seems pretty confidence about her upcoming role, saying: "At the moment no nerves. I'm excited more than anything."
Who are the judges on Dancing on Ice 2020?
The four judges on Dancing On Ice 2019 were Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner.
However, last month Jason revealed he was quitting his role as the longest-serving judge, after his tumultuous year with Gemma Collins.
His replacement was announced as 2018 contestant and third place I'm A Celeb runner up, John Barrowman.
'I am so excited to be returning to the Dancing On Ice family. Unlike most I have been through the rigorous task of skating live as a contestant in the first series,' he said.
Who is presenting Dancing on Ice 2020?
Why the dream team Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby of course. The This Morning presenters returned to the dancing show in 2018 after leaving in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, it was hosted by Christine Lampard.
A source also told The Sun: 'It's a massive coup for ITV to have Holly and Phil back on board. Producers love the idea of going back to the original line-up and they’re both really excited to return to their roots.'
