Wanna see Amy Schumer’s film Trainwreck with us? Of course you do. It’s got the very excellent Amy Schumer in it! Lucky then, that we’re giving away tickets to screenings around the country, *before *the film comes out, meaning you’ll be the envy of all your mates.
In the film, Amy Schumer plays a carefree girl called erm, Amy, who works at a New York men’s magazine with the sort of people that make you want to rip your ears off and sit on them, just so you don’t have to listen to the nonsense they spout. Also, Amy hates commitment and instead, limits her love life to a bunch of one-night stands who fit in with her whole independent, ‘single gal in the city’ lifestyle.
One day though, she’s sent to interview Aaron (Bill Hader), a doctor who specialises in fixing the knees of high-profile athletes (niche right?) – in fact, his best friend is basketball legend LeBron James. Aaron is kind of a nerd but, through being an actually decent guy and not like the rest of the douchebags that Amy meets, he might just be able to convince her that commitment isn’t a dirty word.
We’ve already watched the film and trust us on this, it’s very funny. Plus, any romcom that reverses gender roles as well as this one is A-OK by us.
The screenings are taking place on 5 August in a number of locations which are listed below – that’s a full 11 days before the film opens to the public on 14 August. To be in with a chance of going (there are limited spaces so act quickly!), head here and enter the code 194552.
