Fancy yourself as a film critic? Well, turns out we need a bit of help in that department. New film STARRED UP has laid on an exclusive screening for our readers and they need one of you to turn your talents to writing about it for us.

You don’t want to miss this brutal and brilliant film, starring Jack O’Connell (Cook from Skins) who gives an electrifying and star-making performance as Eric Love, a 19-year-old troubled teenager who makes the transition from a young offenders centre to full-blown adult jail.

The problem is, his dad Neville’s in the same jail, and he’s less than helpful when it comes to Eric dealing with people trying to stab him and other life-threatening situations of the same ilk.

The guy who does get Eric and who really wants to help him, social worker Oliver (played by Homeland’s Rupert Friend), is struggling thanks to an evil prison governor who tries to trip him at every hurdle.

We’re laying on an exclusive screening of the film on 11th March, that’s a whole 9 days before the film’s official March 21st release. It’ll be hosted at a swanky central London location with plenty of booze on hand, because everything’s more fun with booze. If you’d like to come down then please give us a shout on film@thedebrief.co.uk to reserve your place. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

After the film, one reader will be selected to write us a review of the film and see their words in print on the website. So drop us a line and come down! Hope to see you there!
