Cara Delevingne Looks Unrecognisable As 'Enchantress' In Suicide Squad

After making her acting debut in Paper Towns, Cara Delevingne's next big-screen appearance is in Suicide Squad, the 'anti-super hero' film all about a group of super villains undertaking potentially deadly black-ops missions for the government, which comes out in August 2016. In it, Cara plays the powerful 'Enchantress', AKA June Moone, whose speciality is sorcery.

In a world exclusive, Empire have finally shined some light her character (albeit only a little as it seems like the producers are keeping a lot of details on the DL), by releasing an epic cover of Cara as Enchantress. Wearing a long black wig, clad in what appears to be a bikini made out of chains, a crescent moon headpiece and tattoos, it's a striking cover and I think I would have struggled to know who it was if I hadn't been told.

The cover is one of several that Empire shot of different characters from the film, including one of Jared Leto as the Joker.

Speaking in the interview, Cara mentioned her, um, interesting method acting. 'I decided that her domain was a warm, steamy lair so I spent a lot of time in the hotel steam room.' Undoubtedly her skin thanked her, but the other visitors? Not so much. 'Occasionally someone's come in and I've just been on the floor in the corner, crawling around and doing creepy shit.'

She was also able to give some more details on the enigmatic Enchantress who isn't actually a member of the Suicide Squad, but the alter ego of June Moone. Cara explained, 'June is an adventure-seeker who's always want some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, but in a terrible way.' Empire also report that it's unclear whether she'll be a villain or a hero in the film, as she's been both during her existence, further adding to her shroud of mystery.

We do know, though, that she's an 'ancient sorceress, a feral being. She's been trapped for so long and she's finally let out', as described by Cara. And how long did it take for her to be turned into an enchanting sorceress? Oh, only four hours (every day) whilst she listened to Nick Cave's Red right Hand and the Megadeth back catalogue to get into character.

You can read the full interview with Cara and the rest of the cast in December's issue of Empire.
