Forget last year’s winner Harry Redknapp, Caitlyn Jenner is probably the biggest signing I’m A Celebrity has ever made. (In fact, The Sun reports that she was paid over an eye-watering half a million pounds.) We can’t wait to see what she brings to the show - she competed in the first US series of the show, so she should know what to expect - and, of course, we’re all waiting to see whetherKim will be there to meet her when she walks across the famous bridge.

Here’s everything you need to know about the former Olympic athlete.

Who is Caitlyn Jenner?

Jenner became a household name after winning Gold in the Men’s Decathlon in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. After being dubbed ‘the world’s greatest athlete’, Jenner then quickly became a celebrity - even becoming a spokesperson for cereal Wheaties.

Of course, Jenner then married momager Kris in 1991 - meaning she was a part of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with step-children Kourtney, Kimberly, Khloe and Robert, and daughters Kendall and Kylie. The pair divorced in 2014.

What did Caitlyn Jenner do in the Olympics?

Jenner was a gold medal-winning track star who set a world record in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

How old is Caitlyn Jenner?

The star recently enjoyed her 70th birthday, where there was a picture of Caitlyn before transition on the cake with daughters Kendall and Kylie. (We did notice, however, that her daughter Khloe was nowhere to be seen{ =nofollow}, writing on Instagram that she was shooting a commercial all day.)

When did Caitlyn Jenner transition?

In 2017, Jenner underwent gender-reassignment surgery.

Caitlyn was born male, but has experienced gender dysphoria since childhood. ‘For all intents and purposes, I’m a woman,’ Jenner told Diane Sawyer in the interview with ABC in 2015.

In July of that year, she revealed to Vanity Fair that her new name would be Caitlyn. She tweeted, ‘I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.’

Deadnaming is when transgender people are called by their previous name - which is a practice considered by most to be deeply hurtful. Actress Laverne Cox has previously called it the ‘ultimate insult’.

‘I’ve grown into Caitlyn,’ she said to ABC News. ‘It’s tough to take 65 years of being Bruce and being male, and then like, overnight, everything changes.’

What is Caitlyn's relationship like with the Kardashians?

As suggested by the fact nearly all of the Kardashians, apart from Khloe, attended her recent birthday party - the family currently seem to be on good terms. (While it has been reported that Caitlyn and Khloe aren't that close, TMZ said at the time that there was no bad blood between them.) There was fall out in the family after Jenner wrote her memoir, and she alleged that Kris knew more about her gender identity crisis than she’s admitted, with Jenner saying in 2017 that she hadn't spoken to Kim in a year.
