Blake Lively is completely unrecognisable in The Rhythm Section as she trades her blonde waves for not one but two black wigs to portray Stephanie Patrick, a grieving daughter and sister seeking revenge after her family were killed in an ‘accidental’ plane crash.
She also sounds completely different as she has a British accent in the film. Originally, the film was set to premiere in February 2019, but filming was postponed after Lively suffered a hand injury doing a stunt. Now it will be released in January 2020.
Lively co-stars alongside Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown (This is Us) and the film is directed by Reed Morano (The Handmaid’s Tale). The Rhythm Section is an adaptation of the British thriller writer Mark Burnell’s first Stephanie Patrick series.
It will be Lively’s first movie after she and husband Ryan Reynolds announced they were expecting their third child.
