There was a time when superhero or comic book movies were aimed pretty much exclusively at men. But, thanks largely to the Marvel crew, it's not longer the case. Following in the massive commercial success of Captain Marvel, we're finally getting a Black Widow film.
Fans have been begging for a Black Widow standalone since Scarlett Johansson first put on the leather trousers and red wig, and now it's FINALLY coming. Plus, they've amped it up even further by adding absolute icon Rachel Weisz into the mix.
We don't know much about the storyline, but the trailer seems to suggest that it's going to explore her backstory, how she trained to become the super assassin that she eventually became, and her relationship with her sister (only bloody Florence Pugh - they have the same face).
It's also not totally clear how this fits into the timeline of the Marvel universe in terms of the whole Thanos hoopla, but presumably (given what happened in Endgame) it must take place before the final film, or there's going to be some very big twists.
In terms of other Avengers, the trailer shows Hawkeye and Nick Fury. We're also hoping for either Bruce Banner or Captain America or, if we're being really greedy, both.
The film comes out on the 1st May 2020. It's going to be a long six months to wait.
