Better Call Saul Season 2

I think there's still a few teenage boys out there wearing Breaking Bad t-shirts and quoting lyrics from the show but by and large most people have moved onto the arguably better Better Call Saul who's second season is now upon us. It's already started on TV in America and, by all accounts, seems to be right on track to be just as good as the first.

Love

This sounds well good. It's from Judd Apatow and seems like it's a Girls-esque spin on millenial hipster relationships. Starring Gillian Jacobs (Mimi Rose in _Girl_s), it's about 'nice guy' Gus (played by Paul Rust) and 'brazen wild-child Mickey (Gillian) as they 'navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, love and other things they were hoping to avoid.' Basically, Gus breaks up with his girlfriend and moves into an apartment block full of super cool young creative types where the two meet.

Spice World: The Movie

Fun fact about The Debrief's Creative Editor Natalia. She's never seen Spice World, she literally just told me this and now I'm not sure we can be friends anymore. Luckily for her, it's popping up on Netflix so she'll be able to remedy this huge oversight in her cultural repertoire ASAP. Chances are it's probably not as good as you remember it when you were a kid but those special effects with the bus jumping over Tower Bridge, those will probably still kill it.

Erin Brockovich

What a bloody film eh? Julia Roberts doing peak Julia Roberts, saving the underdogs all whilst juggling three kids and a hunky biker boyfriend. We weren't exactly spoilt for choice with feminist films growing up so it's just as well this one came along when our teeny tiny minds were in their formative years. I for one decided to be a lawyer after I saw it. Obviously I am now not, but the sentiment was there. Cheers Julia. Cheers Erin.

The Aristocats

A real-life documentary about what happens to all those bonkers New York socialite ladies that leave their vast fortunes to their pets. No, not really, it's the Disney film about the resourceful alley cat who helps the posh princess cat to claim her rightful inheritance after her owner's butler tries to steal it from her. I mean, some would say the butler has every right to be royally pissed off being passed over for a cat but there you go.
