While each season of The White Lotus is contained (though you'd be a fool not to go back and watch them all), there is always at least one returning character. In season three, it's the hotel spa manager from The White Lotus Hawaii in season one, Belinda.
This time Belinda is on an exchange programme in The White Lotus Thailand, where she is part trainee, part guest. How has her life changed since season one? Does she have a new attitude towards her clients? And what will happen to her on this trip of a lifetime? Let's head to Thailand (the sofa) to find out.
Who plays Belinda on The White Lotus?
She is played masterfully by How To Die Alone and Insecure actress, Natasha Rothwell, and is one of the only characters on the show that you can actually root for. Belinda had a rough time of it in season one after befriending the wealthy, eccentric and easily distracted Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge). The pair formed a connection off the back of Belinda's exceptional massage skills, and Tanya later promised to help fund the launch of Belinda's own health spa.
However, Tanya abandoned the idea when a holiday romance came along, leaving Belinda to pick up the pieces. In season three, we meet Belinda on a transfer programme in The White Lotus in Thailand.
In her interview with Grazia, Natasha said she was 'over the moon’ to receive the offer to reprise her role. ‘I had to make sure no one was prank-calling me. The cast and the scope of the show is massive now. It’s really cool to see how much it’s grown.’

In September 2024, her original scripted show How to Die Alone debuted on Hulu. It is a production of the Onyx Collective, a division of ABC Productions and Natasha is the show's creator and lead actress. Unfortunately, it was recently announced that the show would not be returning for a second season with ABC. 'While it wasn't the outcome I wanted for the show, I'm hopeful that it will find a new home,' she told Associated Press, 'and if it doesn't, I still have stories that I'm going to tell.'
What has Natasha Rothwell said about starring in The White Lotus?
Those up to speed with the show will know that Tanya, who betrayed Belinda in season one, met her fate at the end of season two when she fell to her death off a yacht while trying to escape the mafia. 'I outlived her!' Natasha cackled while speaking to The Independent, 'I outlived the bitch!'.
She promises that in season three, audiences will see a stronger and perhaps more determined side to the spa manager. 'Like most people on vacation, she gets to audition a version of herself, and she’s auditioning some courage,' the actress said.
Natasha also told Grazia that playing a masseuse in a luxury hotel comes with its perks. 'I literally had one of the best massages of my life – I cried afterwards because it was so cathartic,’ she says, describing some of the 'research' the cast had to do this season. ‘One of the perks of being on the show is being able to write off massages on my taxes!’
