Again, Sex And The City writers have introduced us to a new character in And Just Like That - who made us do a double take. A few episodes back, we recognised Seema's dad as the bus boy Samantha kissed in SATC{ =nofollow}.

But in yesterday's episode, the club owner Seema met was also very familiar - as eagle-eyed fans will have noticed he was Tony the Prada salesperson in the original, who Carrie tried to set Charlotte up with in season six when she was trying (and failing) to get over Harry. (As Carrie sold Tony to Charlotte: 'I may have found you the impossible dreamboat: Straight, single and works for Prada.')

According to IMBD, the Prada guy, as a totally new character, is now called Zed - and he'll be appearing in the finale, so we'll see if there's set to be a blossoming relationship with Seema. (We really hope so.) If you watch Emily In Paris{ =nofollow}, you'll also recognise the actor - William Abadie - as he plays Antoine Lambert, the owner of Maison Lavaux.

It's not just on AJLT that the writers have been recycling actors - they've always been up to it, even in the original. Justin Theroux{ =nofollow}briefly spoke to Carrie in one scene during season one, only to return - with a shaved head - as her boyfriend Vaughn Wysel in season two. In fact, remembering his time on the series, Justin later joked: 'It's about girls who are dating all the time, you burn through every single male actor in New York.'

Well, it turns out they're still burning through male actors - but we wouldn't have it any other way.
