Travis And Just Like That

After Big had a heart attack in the shower following a rigorous Peloton workout, we knew Carrie would quickly bounce back. Although she was out of action for a while thanks to a hip operation, she soon got (literally) back on her feet thanks to her physical therapist and new crush Travis.

In case you missed his introduction to the And Just Like That universe, here is everything we know so far about Carrie’s new love interest.

Who is Travis?

In the Sex And The City reboot, Carrie is diagnosed with a congenital birth defect in her hip by Seema’s cousin Dr. Vikash Patel. After undergoing surgery to fix her ‘old lady back’ Carrie is debilitated and relies on Charlotte and Miranda to care for her during recovery.

In episode five, Carrie visits Active Way Physical Therapy for treatment to speed up the process and, while she and Charlotte are chatting Travis comes into the waiting room to call Carrie for her appointment. ‘Carrie. I’m Travis, the physical therapist. Shall we go back?” he says as she swoons.

How do we know Carrie likes him?

It’s obvious from the get-go that Carrie is attracted to Travis. She breathlessly responds to his questions in the waiting room and is so hypnotised by his attractiveness that Charlotte clocks the crush before they’ve even started the appointment.

During the session, Travis tells Carrie to change out of her clothes and get ready for a ‘deep lower body massage’ to help her hip to heal, which she evidently enjoys as she tells the receptionist she’s ‘willing to pay out of pocket’ to book Travis again.

Will Carrie see Travis again?

Although there’s not much Travis content in episode six, Carrie does pay for additional appointments with the outrageously hot therapist. He’s clearly good at what he does, as Carrie is back in her heels by the end of the episode. But hopefully Travis will re-emerge in a more personal capacity later in the series.

Who plays Travis?

Travis is played by the actor and model Ryan Cooper. You might recognise him from his previous roles as Jake Bolin in Eye Candy and Owen Gentry in Confess. But Cooper is fairly new to showbiz as he previously worked as a carpenter for a decade before making the career move.

Interestingly, Travis was almost played by Britney Spears’ personal trainer fiancé Sam Ashgari, which could have been too much of a pop culture cross-over for our brains to physically handle.

"Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of Sex and the City, And Just Like That," Ashgari told his 2.3 million Instagram followers on his Instagram story. ‘Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role.’

Are Carrie and Travis going to end up together?

While Carrie was immediately attracted to Travis, his feelings towards her didn’t seem to extend beyond professional politeness. But Carrie’s interest in the physical therapist is a good sign that she’s moving on from losing Big. So, hopefully she’ll fully re-enter the New York dating scene soon.
