The sheets are fresh, the hideaway has new rules, and a new trampoline bed has been installed. Love Island is back and the quest for a summer (or hopefully longer) of love has begun!

Alima Gagigo is one of the first six girlies to enter the Love Island villa for season 12, looking for her Mr Right. As she navigates romance in the villa, here’s everything we know about the lass so far.

Who was Alima Gagigo coupled with?

Alima's first match was with boxer Blu Chegini but that was never going to be a lasting union, especially after he bluntly told her, ‘You’re not my type’, on night one, ouch! Fans were quick to leap to her defence, particularly after she told Blu she wasn't 'feeling him.' One fan wrote 'LOVE that Alima called Blu's disrespectful a** out. #loveisland,' while another penned 'Alima clocking Blu's nonsense already. Glad she's a smart girl. #loveisland.'

After the arrivals of bombshells Remell Mullins and Shea Mannings, Alima was paired with Remell but they're not exactly a match made in heaven. The self-improvement content creator, 24, has made some shocking remarks about 'dry humping' Alima and his X-rated confession about sleeping with five people in one night don't really shout that he's the ideal man.

While the choice of men in the villa have yet to live up to her standards, Alima has been praised for being a peacemaker. During a row between Megan Moore and new bombshell Malisha Jordan over Dejon Noel Williams, which saw some of the other girls take Meg's side, Alima stepped in and stood up for the newcomer.

'That was not nice to see all the shouting. I know it's not nice to see your boy getting pulled up left, right and centre but at the same time, we can be nice to boys and we can be nice to the girls as well,' she told Meg. 'Let's try and be nicer to people because that was crazy to watch.'

Who is Alima Gagigo?

At age 23, Alima is one of the youngest in the villa. Having not watched much Love Island before Alima says she’s going in to just 'be herself'. She doesn’t have any connections to the any previous Love Islanders, and is on the show to find a look alike of her celebrity crush, actor Theo James - a girl after our own hearts! Her type is tall and handsome – with ‘a Disney prince look to them’, her words not ours. Now onto her biggest ick: someone who likes lots of girls pictures on Instagram... fair enough, fair enough.

What is Alima Gagigo’s job ?

She is a Wealth Management Client Services Executive at Barclays Bank and holds a BA degree in International Business from Glasgow Caledonian University, where she graduated in 2023.

Where is Alima Gagigo from?

She lives in Glasgow and originates from Guinea-Bissau. Before entering the villa she told reporters about the cheeky game she plans on a night out. ‘I’m a good flirt’, she says. ‘I always ask guys on an night out to guess which country I’m from. If they get it right, they can get my number’… genius for when you’re trying dodge giving your number out, right?

She previously lived and went to school in Portugal, and speaks both Portuguese and Spanish.

What is Alima's beauty routine?

Alima told reporters that before she went into the villa, she had a chemical peel treatment for her skin, but overall her only preparation was maintaining a healthy lifestyle. ‘I’ve been going on walks and to the gym, as well as trying to drink water’. As a Pilates girl she says she’ll be keeping up her fitness routine in the villa with morning Pilates sessions.

Is Alima Gagigo on Instagram?

Yes! Alima has 12k followers on Instagram, including O Beach Ibiza owner, Wayne Lineker. She boasts a vibrant Instagram full of holiday snaps, her university graduation day, oh and more holidays snaps!
