Strictly Come Dancing 2021 finalist AJ Oduduhas reportedly suffered a foot injury causing her ‘severe’ pain. The presenter allegedly had to miss a day of training after the scare and had to go for an ‘emergency scan.’ The painful injury has left AJ in crutches just days away before the all important grand finale on Saturday.
A source told The Mirror,' This is the worst possible timing but AJ is a real trooper and will keep going no matter what - the pain in her foot was terrible.'
Despite sustaining a painful injury at such close proximity to the grand final, the source added they were 'hopeful' that AJ will be fit for this weekend's show and is currently 'resting her foot.'
Last weekend AJ and her partner Kai were the second pair to be announced as finalists. AJ joins GBBO's John Whaite and Johannes Radebe and EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Perniceat this weekend's Strictly final. The final three couples standing will go head to head as they battle it out for the glitterball trophy. The three dancing duo's remaining are all fan favourites, so it is set to be a close race.
Last weekend AJ's dance routines really impressed the judges and viewers after she performed a Quickstep and Rumba with Kai Widdrington. Their flawless Quickstep even earned them their first perfect score of the series.
Fans of the show have been speculating about the pair’s romance the entire series. In particular, the Rumba they performed on Saturday sent the internet into a frenzy with many noting their undeniable chemistry on the dance floor.
The bookies currently predict Rose and Giovanni to be the ones to walk away with the crown, with AJ and Kai in second and John and Johannes just missing out on a top two spot. However, as we know with voting on Strictly ... anything can happen.
