(Spoilers ahead, obviously.) Carrie may no longer be with Big - after he shockingly died in the first episode of And Just Like That - but Sex And The City fans have been hoping for the return of the other love of her life: Carrie's ex-fiancé, furniture maker Aidan{ =nofollow}.

You might remember that Carrie and Aidan were spookily reunited in Abu Dhabi in the second film, and went for a candlelit dinner, which obviously ended in a kiss - even though Aidan was married, and so was Carrie. And in the series six, after they call things off, Carrie later bumps into Aidan holding a baby. (The baby was thought to be played by Sarah Jessica Parker's son, James Wilkie Broderick, but SJP later denied the long-believed fan rumour.)

So, it seems like a Carrie/Aidan meeting, 10 years after SATC 2, is quite a realistic plot line for AJLT - especially considering we know that Miranda's husband, Steve{ =nofollow}, still owns the bar he set up with Aidan.

But, while it might make perfect sense for an Aidan cameo, we're six episodes in to AJLT, and we still haven't seen him - even though, in April last year, John Corbett did confirm to Page Six his involvement in the reboot, and said that he might be 'in a few episodes'.

But considering there's meant to be 10 episodes of AJLT, it seems a bit odd that he hasn't turned up yet. Other clues also sadly suggest that Aidan might not be appearing in the reboot: he wasn't at the series premiere, and there are no paparazzi shots of John from when the cast were filming in New York last year. (But maybe production managed to keep a cameo under wraps?)

Oh well, if Aidan doesn't appear this series, surely that means there's more reason for a second season where we can see Carrie and Aidan reunited? Come on, you know it makes sense...
