While you might not be all that familiar with the original book by Madeleine L'Engle, everyone's already all over the movie adaptation of *A Wrinkle In Time. *And if you're a fan of Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon and a little classic Disney Magic, hold on to your seats because you're about to be sucked in...
*A Wrinkle In Time *is one of the female directed filmsthat we're super excited to see this year. With Ava DuVernay (also responsible for Selma, an episode of Scandal and that incredible Jay Z video for Family Feud) at the helm, this fantasy adventure film has set itself up everything you could ever ask for from a feel-good, uplifting, 'you can do anything you set your mind' to kinda vibe.
And there's a brand new, rather lengthly trailer right here to prove it:
Oprah, Mindy and Reese star as Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Whatsit, respectively - three magical time travelling women who help high schooler Meg Murray (played by Storm Reid) search the university to find her scientist father.
Let's not beat around the bush - it looks great, doesn't it?! So great that Oprah, Mindy and Reese's characters have been IRL immortalised in the most brilliant of ways - they've been turned into Barbies.
Yep, you can now buy new doll-sized versions of the three Mrs. and they're probably the coolest Barbies you'd ever get to own. They're not on sale just yet but when they are each doll will cost you acool $50 each...
Director Ava DuVernay tweeted a picture of the three Mrs dolls together and said: 'When Disney makes Barbies of your movie's characters and you just want to stare at them all day in disbelief because you loved Barbies as a girl but never had any like these'.
Safe to say we feel the same way.
