Find proof this weekend that our cities are just as easy to get lost in as fields in the arse-end of nowhere with a selection of bank holiday specials. The Garden Party celebrates its 9th year in Leeds, the Riverside Museum turns into a club in Glasgow, and Elsewhere might as well be on another planet, even though it's located off a busy London road. See you on the night bus.

Wondered why Elsewhere wasn’t three days? That’s because they are also Everywhere (well, Nottingham). The second edition of this city festival takes place across a number of locations in Nottingham. While there’s a similar line up to London (Kelela, Snakehips, Floating Points, Doc Daneeka, Lxury make the trip), additional sets from Hudson Mohawke, Karma Kid and more make it worth booking a train ticket to the midlands and enjoying all three days.

This one day outdoor (tiny bit risky in May) music festival in the grounds of the Riverside Museum on the banks of the River Clyde is back for another year. In the day dance under the covered stages to, the likes of 2manydJs, Tiga and Andrew Weatherall (Saturday) or Jamie jones and Laurent Garnier (Sunday) gorge from the street food vans when you're knackered and, as it gets late, carry on to one of the many after parties to make Sunday's free party day really count.

Secretsundaze opening party w/ Mosca, Wbeeza, Andrew Ashong & more @ Studio 338 & Corsica Studios

Sun May 4

Just the mention of Secretsundaze should bring back a warm, fuzzy feeling because, really, what better way to way to spend those hot sticky Sundays when you don't want to even think about work the next day at one of London's most impressive summer parties? The first part of their launch weekend sees them return to the terrace (where else) of Studio 338 with a live set from the fantastic Wbeeza, Mosca, DJ Rolando and more. For the second part, they head inside to Corsica Studios with DJs including Andrew Ashong and Eglo's Alexander Nut. Having a BBQ somewhere between the two is optional, but recommended.
