The one where you want to be as far away from other people as is humanly possible
We’ve fallen in love with this tiny little cottage in the Welsh village of Corwen. Cobweb Cottage! What a name! And look at Helen that owns it! Big fan. It’s dead cheap, £120 for three nights for three people (that’s £40 each, maths fans).
It is in the TOTAL middle of nowhere though, which means that trains probably aren’t going to be massively helpful. Instead, check out ZipCar.co.uk – for three days you can borrow a car for £165 (£55 each) which means you’ve got five quid left over for car snacks. POM BEARS ALL ROUND!
The one where you really need some vitamin D
Turns out you CAN get out of the country for less than £100 (All right £102 – so sue us). If you’re anywhere near Newcastle and have a pal to take along for the ride, there’s plenty of trips to Zante on the cards from Thomas Cook for just over £100 per person.
They’re all in self-catering apartments and while the complexes might be a little bit cheesy (think karaoke and kids on ice cream overdoses), you’ll more than be able to ignore that for a bit of foreign sun. We’re looking at temperatures in the late 20s next week after all.
The one where you can bring everyone you know
Because holidays are no fun on your own. This house in Wendling near Norwich’ll sleep you and 15 of your nearest and dearest. Plus, if you close your eyes and squint, it kind of looks like a French chateau. Even better, it’ll only be £93 each. And it’s probably haunted. It’s not. But it might be.
