If you’re feeling ambititious - Rock En Seine, Paris

Screen-Shot-2014-08-14-at-17.14

There’s still day tickets left for the best little festival Paris did ever have to offer. Located on the outskirts of the French capital, Rock En Seine is full of super hip Parisians and is small enough that you can walk from one end of it to the other in less than ten minutes and a rotation of acts between the two main stages mean you never have to miss a band. Which is good because the line up includes La Roux, Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, Warpaint, Janelle Monae, Brody Dalle and Blondie. Allez les femmes!

If you want to be romantic - this vintage caravan

3 nights in a cute little caravan in Yorkshire? Ace. Even better, it’s only £36 quid a night each and it’s got a log burning stove, is situated above a pub, and is smack bang in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside Britain’s got on offer. Just don’t get too romantic – this caravan’s from the 1930’s and might not withstand all of the bonking.

If you want to hide away from reality - Centre Stage

Don’t be ashamed of this. You work hard. If you want to lock your doors, pull the curtains and turn your mobile phone off then by all means go right ahead. All you need now is a good set of films to tune out to. Luckily, Netflix have just uploaded the best guilty pleasure you never knew you needed – Centre Stage, a film about a group of ballet dancers vying for a place at the fictional American Ballet Company. The final dance to Michael Jackson’s The Way You Make Me Feel, complete with a motorbike makes Step Up look lame as hell. Also watch out for a young Zoe Saldana and erm, Sandy Cohen.

If you want to eat all of the food - Carnival Del KERB

Any good Londoner worth their salt knows KERB street food market. This weekend they're taking over The Paperworks space next to Elelphant & Castle's Corsica Studios for the evening which means you can enjoy the food as well as a shit ton of booze - guilt free. Watch out for Korean Burritos from Kimchinary, doughnuts from You Doughnut and Fillipino BBQ from BBQ DRMZ.

If you want to curl up with a good book - Simon Rich, Spoiled Brats

We’ve already flagged Simon Rich’s hilarious book up to you but as of the 21st, it’s finally out. The downright hilarious collections of short stories about the terrible struggle it is to raise a child with an over inflated self of self worth in today’s world. Read his New York essay ‘Sell Out’ (incuded in Spoiled Brats) to get a taster.
