Between Glastonbury festival, Wireless festival (plus two after parties) and midweek trips out in the last couple of weeks this column is feeling a little tender, a little like the first stages of flu is creeping into our tired limbs. Maybe it’s time to hide away from the grey skies by getting into bed at 7pm Friday and not getting out until the Monday Morning? Or.. Nah. It’s still the weekend.

Journey Through LDN Sounds 002 @ Copeland Gallery, London

Saturday Jul 12**

Copeland-Gallery

The CONS project continues its journey through London sounds in the Peckham space. While the focus is a little hazy (UK Bass means a lot of different things to different people and this lineup definitely doesn’t fit in to any one thing) there’s no arguing with the line up. Get down and let T.Williams, dubstep favourite Hatcha, N-Type and Butterz heads Elijah & Skilliam take you on a trip by applying for tickets here.

Electric Daisy Carnival UK @ Milton Keynes Bowl, Milton Keynes

Saturday Jul 12

If neon headbands and painted chests are more your thing than tote-bags and hotel basements then you’ll already have tickets to the world famous Electric Daisy Carnival aka the USA’s EDM mothership that is back in the UK this year with country-electro man Avicci, Calvin Harris, Steve Angello, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Route 94, Paul Van Dyk and more. Very short denim shorts and unlimited energy are a must.

T in the Park @ Balado, Scotland

Friday Jul 11

Saturday Jul 12

Both things that will also go down well at Scotland’s biggest annual party-in-a-field. This year’s festival features plenty of homegrown artists from Biffy Clyro (headlining Friday) and Chvrches to Calvin Harris and Paolo Nutini (top of the bill Saturday) plus plenty of people from south of the border and further afield. Alongside headliners Arctic Monkeys and Jake Bugg - make sure to see Katy B, Disclosure, Chance the Rapper, Duke Dumont, Skream, Julio Bashmore, George Fitzgerald and Levon Vincent all discover that festival crowds are just better in Balado.
