Forget paying full price for a getaway in August – we’ve found deals which mean kids could go free this Easter.

Easter breaks Tui

It’s been a long January and, although the evenings are getting lighter, we’re still a couple of months away from seeing any proper signs of spring. That’s why I always have the Easter holidays in my sights when I’m planning our main holiday for the year. With the kids off school for two whole weeks, it’s a great opportunity for a proper break before the summer holidays (when everywhere gets too hot for my little ones) - and with TUI offering a free kid’s place for every two adults travelling on some breaks, it’s a fantastic opportunity to bag a great offer and make your budget go further than ever.

The best thing? If you book now, you’ve got less than three months to go before you’re digging out your passport and getting on that plane - sounds dreamy, right?

To get you started, here are the breaks I’m eyeing up for my family of four this Easter.

There’s nothing like a spot of Andalusian sunshine after months of cold and rain and, at the Holiday Village, you can actually enjoy it properly thanks to two separate pools, a kid’s club and creche for babies as well as swim, football and stage academies, with plenty of evening entertainment to keep everyone happy. Plus, you get a free child’s place for every two adults who travel.

I love the Algarve but it’s in the ‘too hot’ category for my kids in the middle of August. In April, though, it’s perfect - enough sunshine to keep us all happy without having to constantly worry about someone getting heatstroke. The Pestana Blue Alvor resort is on my radar for that very reason. And again, with one child travelling for free, plus several pools, a kid’s club, three restaurants and a street-food van on site for quick and easy snacks, what’s not to love? The resort is also just 20-minutes' walk away from the fishing village of Alvor, making this the perfect option if you like to be able to go out and explore.

Tenerife is somewhere else I love to visit, as I find the weather is perfect for us outside of the August holidays. With several kid-friendly pools, and a separate air-conditioned kid’s play area, this resort is perfect for people with very young children - especially as, once more, you get a free kid’s place for every two adults travelling. It’s also really accessibly located right in the middle of the town of Puerto di Santiago - which means there’s plenty of opportunity to get out on foot and explore. Walk to the nearby marina for views of Las Gigantes cliffs.

With five separate pools and a splash park, the Senator Atlantica Dreams resort is a must-visit if you have a family of water babies. With separate family and adult zones, top-of-the-range restaurants and a spa, there’s plenty of opportunity to make sure you have as much fun as your children, too. There are also kids’ clubs for children of all ages; I’ll be signing up to a cooking class and a massage while my two are busy having fun.

If you’re looking for an Easter break with real ‘wow’ factor, check out St Lucia and the Royalton all-inclusive resort. Whether you’re off for a day of snorkelling, kayaking or checking out the eight incredible restaurants and the martini bar on site (!), there’s plenty to do. Children from four upwards will be entertained at the kids’ club or the splash pool, while there are daily activities for younger kids and that all-important playground.

All prices based on seven nights all inclusive, travelling from London on 12th April 2025
