This coastal Portuguese city is filled to the brim with with historical monuments, lovely windy paths and vibrant nightlife. While the city is well-connected by cute yellow trams, you might find yourself much happier exploring it on foot and squealing every few steps, 'oh how quaint!' without cringing.

Make the weekend a royal rumpus in this 18th-century palace perfectly located so you can go shopping, hit the clubs or visit the historical central business district, all within walking distance.
2. For the socialite - £15 per night
Possibly the friendliest AirBnB we’ve come across, the ‘Red Room’ (no relation to Christian Grey) opens its doors to you for a steal. If you’re lucky, you’re welcome to join them on one of their surfing trips around Portugal!
3. For the besties who don’t wanna share a bed - £29 per night
You’ll find this little hideaway an easy peasy 15-minute walk away from the centre of Lisbon. The twin room is perfect for a best friend getaway where you love each other to bits but don’t really want to deal with her sleep-kicking habit.
4. For the daydreamer, £29 per night
This looks like the perfect place to revisit that romantic bohemian-artist-lifestyle fantasy we’ve all had. Nestled in Cais do Sodre, the neighbourhood has plenty of bars, restaurants and art galleries for you to float around in living out your rose-tinted daydreams.

If the idea of a cottage on the countryside makes you balk in fear, then this is the place for you. The twin room might not tickle your romance buds, but with the heart of Lisbon at your feet and the resident dog Za to come home to, it’s a pretty sweet deal.

A minimal room and flat for a minimal person on a minimal budget – ok, we’ll stop. We’re just in love with this all-white AirBnB with wood and marble accents. And the price tag is reaaaally attractive.

Located in the lovely and quiet Rose Alley, the tiny hobbit-hole-like door to this apartment will make you feel like you’ve got a secret spot in the middle of the city. The open-plan space makes use of stone finishes and bright prints to give it a cool yet cosy feel.
10. For the BBQ lover, £21 per night
Forget a cheeky Nandos. Have a go at making your own Portuguese grilled chicken (or anything else you might fancy) with your hosts on their amazingly huge terrace. Sunbathe. Eat. Marvel at all the space you’ll never have except on holiday.

There’s nothing that makes a home feel more cosy than having wood everywhere for some reason. The exposed wooden beams and wooden furniture in this flat do exactly that, and there’s a view! No cabin fever here.
