It hits 7pm on a Sunday afternoon and there's nothing you can do. It's inevitable. The dreaded Smonday blues kick in as you sit and wonder where the weekend has gone.

Sound familiar? Well this news might be your chance to bid farewell to those underprepped presentations and tiresome Monday morning meetings forever...

A survey conducted by UK scheduling firm YouCanBookMe has revealed the most productive time to have a meeting with your colleagues. And no, it’s not on a Monday. Phew!

After collecting data from two million responses to 530,000 meeting invitations, the company drew to the surprising conclusion that the perfect time to schedule a meeting is in fact on a Tuesday at 2.30pm.

The company came to this theory after discovering that, despite the fact Monday mornings are most popular, they are the most unproductive. According to the survey, only one in three meeting invites are accepted on a Monday as the most likely days for people to be out of the office are Mondays and Fridays.

And attendance to meetings was also proven to rise in the afternoon. This is due to work easing off and people having more chance to prepare for presentations.

So make sure to pass this information on to your boss and finally bid farewell to those dreaded Monday morning meetings. You’re welcome.
