Kimberly Houzah, a traveling nurse from Calhoun County, Alabama, took to Facebook to voice her anger at Victoria Secret. The Facebook Live post, which has been viewed more than a million times, asks people to boycott the shop after Houzah getting kicked out a few moments before. In the video, Houzah says that she and another black customer were thrown out after a third black woman was caught stealing in the store. Despite the fact that the three women had never met before and had nothing to do with each other.

In the video the manager and security guards can be heard telling, not asking, telling the women to leave. ‘Because another black female gets caught stealing, me and the other black female here have to be affiliated so we’re all put out.’

‘I already didn’t need to be spending the money, but I’m like, you know – I’m going to treat myself… and I got to come here and deal with this.’

She promised to never return to the shop even if ‘I’m down to my last pair of drawers.’ But turned up to the store on Thursday with a group of supporters asking for an apology.

Victoria Secret has since issued an apology to Houzah, saying ‘what happened at our store should not have happened and does not represent who we are or what we stand for. The store associate involved in this matter is no longer employed with the company. Victoria’s Secret is adamant that all customers regardless of race be treated with dignity and respect at all times.’

Houzah however ends the video in a positive note, wishing everyone to have a good day and ‘I love y’all anyway.’ Aw.
