Woman Too Depressed For Work, Hijacks Student Email To Send In Bomb Threat

The story of a 26-year-old teacher who couldn’t be bothered to get up and go to work so hijacked a student’s email account and sent in a bomb threat to the school is pretty funny. At first.

But then you realise that Zoe Gregory, a mother of two, was ‘blighted’ by depression. She’s admitted the hoax at Norwich Crown Court and will be sentenced there, too.

Of course it’s horrible that a 16-year-old girl was wrongly accused of sending in a bomb threat to the school, but it’s also horrible that Zoe couldn’t feel comfortable enough to call in sick – you wouldn’t go into work with a vomiting bug, so why would you go into work when you felt so depressed you just couldn’t go in?

Hopefully Zoe's sentence will give her support to feel better in herself and that health authorities and schools take note...
