The summer is wrapping up for another year, meaning it's almost time to hang up our Hunter boots for the festival season. If, like us, you're already plotting how to use up your holiday in 2016, let us suggest the most Instagrammable weekend in the UK - Wilderness Festival.
If you are a little more avocado on toast than burger van burgers, Wilderness Festival in the woodland of Cornbury Park is the one for you. Any festival with a Duck and Waffle and free yoga classes gets a thumbs up from us. And yes, there are clean toilets.
Think this might be your festival? Here is our Wilderness guide...
What to wear...
Leave your plastic flower garlands and hot pants at home - the look at Wilderness is all about effortless boho. Unlike your Glastonburies, this is the one festival where everyone looks well rested and showered. Festival up your look with some glitter from @itsinyourdreams.
What to drink...
This year the hit of the festival was Zubrowka's Zu Den, which served their signature Apple Zu cocktails (pressed apple juice + Zubrowka, the bison grass vodka) under a wild grassy chandelier. Inside the tent they also hosted vodka tasting sessions, where they taught Wilderness goers about the origins of the Polish vodka.
Where to sleep...
The goal is to find your way into boutique campaign. After all the teepees make for the perfect #ootd backdrop. For those not looking to sleep until the early hours, head to the valley where you can dance under a canopy of acrobats in the trees. The lake is the perfect spot for afternoon snoozing.
What to eat...
The real question is what's not to eat? You can feast at banquets prepared by the likes of Raymond Blanc, Angela Hartnett, Niklas Ekstedt, Hix and Petershom Nurseries. We told you this wasn't your average festival. As for the "food vans," there are pop ups from the likes of Duck and Waffle, The Breakfast Club and Anna Mae's Mac N' Cheese.
What to Instagram...
Well, everything. This is quite simply the place of Instagram dreams, with #smugshot opportunities at every turn. Oh and it even has good signal meaning you can Instagram as you go.
What to watch...
This festival has more draws than the headliners (this year they were Ben Howard, George Clinton and Bjork). Also on the Wilderness schedule is storytelling, debates, arts and crafts, 'wellness' activities and wild swimming. A festival where you can actually get some headspace.
