WhatsApp Video Calls Are (Nearly) Here

So the wait is almost over. WhatsApp have been teasing us with hints of video calling capabilities for some time; there was even a false start on the beta version of the app in May of this year, before the function was pulled back again. But now but it looks like it’s really happening you guys!

Mashablereports that the video feature is available on the new beta versions of the app for Android users. So now you’ll have the option of making video calls as well as voice calls, just by hitting the dialer icon on top.

The only caveat being that both participants need to have the beta version installed in order for it to fully function. If they don’t, it’s no biggie as they’ll just receive a voice call like usual.

Although the video feature is still not available to all WhatsApp users, this latest news is a sure-fire sign that a full role out is imminent!
