HEY John Cleese. Who died and made you king of the cat judging world?

ICYMI, over the weekend the Monty Python star appreared on Graham Norton alongside Taylor Swift (the weirdest pairing since that week that Princess Beatrice was hanging out with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher) and slagged off her cat Oliva Benson, (awesomely named after the female detective from Law and Order) asking 'when it had the accident' and saying it was 'the weirdest cat' he'd ever seen.** **

For starters, thanks for weighing in John! Secondly, back the fuck up. Any self respecting human in 2014 knows better than to slag off a cat to it's owner's face. Would you walk up to a new mother and tell her her baby is ugly? Absolutely not. It's pretty much the same thing. Sort of.

Anyways, since we're talking about adorable cats and we here at The Debrief spend most of our lunch breaks looking for new and adorable little fellows to follow on Instagram, we thought we'd share with you our favourite furry friends from the internet who dead set on being the Insta-celebs of tomorrow. You're welcome.

Luna Argento

Luna Argento’s name means Silver Moon and she’s the daughter or the equally aroable Sylvia Plath the Cat. Favourite activities include staring adorably into space and rolling around on nice couches and beds. Plus LOOK AT HER RUN.

Short Fat

The closest IRL incarnation to when that cat out of Shrek does the big eye thing. Short Fat is half Persian Munchkin and half Scottish Fold. His stubby little legs don’t look like they’d take him anwhere fast but just take one look into those magical eyes and tell us you're not bowled over with love. Great bow tie too.

Princess Cheeto

As well as already having a superb name, Cheeto's earned herself the also excellent monker of Tuxedo Cat due to her sasstastic colourings. Well on her way to becoming an Insta-celebrity, Cheeto's owner knows the power of emoticons and gifs which feature heavily in her artfully presented photos.

Dragon Thomas

Only a month into the Instagram game and Thomas has already got himself a healthy following of over 1,300. Mainly because he looks like a terribly naughty little chap. And we appreciate that in a cat.

Floyd The Lion

Far too fluffy for his own good, this ginger chap is less cat, more furball. He likes to for walks on a lead, wear sports t-shirts and hang out with his best doggie friend Tud.
